Stephanie has been working in the Design field for nearly 20 years, getting her start during the new construction boom in Central Florida where she guided her clients through the design and selection process for their to-be-built Ryland or David Weekly homes to include cabinetry, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint and much more. In 2004, she relocated to her home state of Maine where she accepted an opportunity to work as a Project Manager for a major Portland tile and floor covering business. After accumulating extensive product knowledge and field experience, and completing course work in Interior Design, she accepted a position as a Designer at a Portland specialty tile business and also freelanced on private, residential projects as her time allowed.
These days, you will find her making design specifications in lighting for residential and small commercial projects as well as, assisting clients with selections for their new construction and renovation projects right here as part of our Design Team at the House of Lights. In addition to being a talented designer, Stephanie is also a choreographer and instructor at a local dance studio where she teaches technique classes in Classical Ballet and Modern Dance, art forms she is formally trained in and has studied at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She enjoys this work as equally as being a designer and the creative freedom that comes along with her work. Both roles suit her specialist personality, allow her to express her ideas and utilize her discerning eye. She loves transitional lighting pieces, clean, classic and distinctive looks, but is well versed in all styles and also has a fondness for subtle adornments and sparkle, likely from theatrical influences.
